The Boat Quay District is located along Singapore River, within a 3-min walk to Raffles Place MRT. This includes commercial shophouses along Boat Quay, Circular Road, Upper Circular Road and North Canal Road. These conservation shophouses have a rich history of being the busiest part of the old Port of Singapore.

The shophouses facing the river enjoy excellent views of the Singapore River and are mostly occupied by bars, pubs and restaurants. Non-river-facing upper floors are mostly occupied by offices.
