A Landmark with Hollywood History
Before its rebranding as Eclipse, the building was widely recognised as Sandcrawler because of its distinctive architecture inspired by the iconic vehicle from the Star Wars films. The name reflected its long association with Lucasfilm, which established its Singapore headquarters in the building.
Lucasfilm Singapore occupied the building for many years, housing world-class animation, visual effects and game development teams. Artists based here contributed to numerous internationally acclaimed productions through Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Lucasfilm’s Academy Award-winning visual effects division. Following corporate restructuring after The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, the building was eventually renamed Eclipse while continuing to serve as a premium business park for leading technology and innovation companies.
